What we store

Without an account: the public profile metrics and publication lists we fetch, one metric observation per profile per day, and parsed Wayback Machine snapshots. No personal data about visitors beyond standard server logs (IP address, user agent, time), kept for 30 days.
With an account: your email address, the Google Scholar profile you claimed, sign-in sessions, daily usage counts, the collaborator and grant results and briefings generated for your profile, and your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. We never see your card details; Stripe handles payment.

Third parties we send data to

OpenAlex (paper titles and author names, to match your profile), NanoGPT or Anthropic (paper titles and abstracts, candidate names and grant texts, to write introductions, rationales and briefings), Resend (your email address, to deliver sign-in links and briefings), Stripe (your email, for billing). We do not sell data and do not use advertising trackers.

Emails

Briefing emails contain a one-click unsubscribe link. Sign-in links are sent only when you request them.

Your rights

Email hello@citevector.xyz to export or delete your account data; we respond within 14 days. Deleting your account removes your email, sessions, usage records and generated briefings. Public profile metrics are retained because they are not personal to the account holder.

Cookies

One cookie, cv_session, keeps you signed in for 90 days. No analytics cookies.
