Last updated 9 October 2026. CiteVector is operated by Open Source Medicine. By using citevector.xyz you agree to these terms.
CiteVector builds citation dashboards from publicly available data: Google Scholar profile pages, the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, OpenAlex, Altmetric, Dimensions, Grants.gov, NIH RePORTER and the NSF award database. Researcher tools add tracking, collaborator suggestions, grant matching and a weekly briefing for one claimed profile per account.
Citation figures come from Google Scholar and may lag, be incomplete, or be unavailable when Google limits automated access, in which case CiteVector shows cached or archived figures and says so. Projections are statistical estimates and must not be presented as facts. Collaborator, grant and briefing text is generated automatically from the data and may contain errors; verify before acting on it.
Accounts are created with an email address and a sign-in link; there are no passwords. New accounts receive a 14-day trial of the researcher tools. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Refunds for unused time are given on request within 14 days of a charge.
Do not use the service to harass researchers, to scrape it in bulk, or to claim a profile you do not own or have permission to track. Daily limits apply to refreshes and briefings.
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Open Source Medicine is not liable for decisions made on the basis of figures or text produced by CiteVector.
